GRA Herdmark

For more than two decades, John Graber of Stryker, Ohio, has raised purebred Hampshire hogs. In this time, a path has worn through the metropolis of downtown Stryker, right to the doorstep of the Graber family residence. For anyone who is in search of Hampshire breeding stock or this year's prized show ring prospect, the Graber family farm is always a must-stop, must-look location. John is not only one of the nation's most well respected hog-men, but also one of the most honest, trustworthy, passionate and truly caring livestock breeders in with whom I have had the opportunity to work.

The GRA Herdmark and the herdmarks of GRA partners precedes the name and protrudes the pedigrees of many of the great Hampshire breeding hogs of both past and current mention. Dropping the names of Big Brother, Get Serious, Sweet Tea, The Judge, Last Word, Yield and Caboose would cover just a few of the more popular Hampshire boars currently in stud across the country that carry the GRA prefix, in one form or another, on their pedigree. At the 2009 Winter Type Conference, Graber hogs racked up wins with the Reserve Champion Hampshire Boar and the Reserve Champion Hampshire Gilt. Each time John brings a set out to show, anyone who is serious about the Hampshire business is always sure to take note of what is lying in the Graber pens.

Be sure to stop by John's for a visit this spring. The people alone are worth the trip.
